Timret for Development and Growth Organization(TDGO)

TDGO focus will not only consider/involve a limited sector rather will involve in the major developmental sectors of Amhara and Afar Regions . This because all of the founding members from their previous experiences and involvements with the different types of developmental sectors on these regions, they were cognizant of the plethora of problems plaguing the rural communities of both regions. TDGO will operate different developmental activities like in the areas of education, health (both animal and human), livelihood support, youth & women empowerment, emergency response & preparedness, conflict resolution and peace building, good governance, human rights, etc for the farmers, pastoral and agro-pastoral communities of the Amhara and Afar Regions.

TDGO will undertake different activities that range from capacity building to service delivery with special focus on the poor, vulnerable, disadvantage and marginalized segments of the society. TDGO will ensure the involvement of the local communities and stakeholders in its times of operations and servings at the grass root level.

TDGO follows a participatory approach in every operation of its works. Human resource development is also an essential part of our developmental works. By creating trained and skilled, as well as organized communities at the grass root level, maximize the potential of the local communities to take hold of their own development by themselves.

Water is fundamental for life and health. The human right to water is indispensable for leading a healthy life in human dignity. It is a pre-requisite to the realization of all other human rights. Water supply is often a high priority for any communities. When human beings do not have access to potable water; they not only suffer physically and emotionally but also socio-economically. Construction of potable water projects in rural areas is the first step to increase community access and contribute to the health of its member.

In Ethiopia particularly in rural areas access to potable water supply and sanitation services are among the lowest in sub-Saharan Africa. Accessing safe drinking water continues to be one of the most complex challenges facing rural communities of Bati woreda in general.

Our organization Timret for Development and Growth Organization (TDGO) in collaboration with Dounia Charity Organization (for Financial Support) constructed hand dug well with hand pump for people of Momoj village of Kurkura kebele of Bati woreda by July 2020. So many thanks for our partner Dounia Charity Organization for their valuable financial support for constructing this particular water supply facility at Momoj village.
